Why can the leather rub off?Updated 3 years ago

Leather is a natural product that adapts to its environment over time. Through various contact points such as creamed feet, heat or increased foot sweat production, the leather can become discoloured. The reason for this is the grease or wax contained in the leather, which becomes liquid due to these external influences.

This is not a defect in the quality, but a sign of the authenticity of the product. Only by using chemicals that are harmful to humans and nature could the staining be prevented in the production process. However, this would not be in the best interest of nature and our customers, which is why we do not use such chemicals.

If this is the case for you, please contact our Customer Service. They will take a look at your problem and help you find the right solution.

If you have an impregnation protector, we recommend that you spray your shoe repeatedly until it "no longer" stains. This is not a remedy for eternity, but it can make a difference.

It is important to carry out the process in a well-ventilated room and leave your shoe to dry sufficiently for a maximum of 24 to 48 hours after impregnation and after wearing.
